Attorney Bio
Rhonda J. Macdonald has been advising clients since 1979, initially as a certified public accountant (CPA), and beginning in 1985, as an attorney. Her professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council, the Virginia State Bar Association, the American Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a past President of the Fairfax County, Virginia Bar Association section for Wills, Trusts, and Estates, and has been selected among Best Lawyers in America (2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012) and Best Lawyers in Washington, by Washingtonian Magazine (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011). Rhonda is married to Jeffrey Macdonald, a pilot, and has three children.
Ms. Macdonald has spoken for professional groups and has written for professional publications, including the Virginia State Bar Association, the Virginia Society of CPAs, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, and Georgetown University's Advanced Estate Planning Institute. She is the author of an article for the Tax Management Journal of Estate and Gift Law. Ms. Macdonald is on the Board of Advisors for INOVA Fairfax Hospital's Planned Giving Board.
